INTERNATIONAL PATIENT CENTRE (IPC)

IJN’s medical expertise in cardiovascular and thoracic care is internationally recognised. This has lead to an ever increasing number of international patients. To facilitate overseas patient preparations IJN has set up the International Patient Centre (IPC). Services include:

  • Visa Extension Assistance

Medical Co-ordination

Visas are not usually required for social / business visits under six months. Foreign nationals who do require visas must apply and obtain a visa in advance at a Malaysian Embassy or Representative Office before entering the country. The IPC will assist by providing necessary documentation to obtain Visa for medical treatment in IJN. The IPC will also help obtain Visa extensions that may arise during patient’s stay. Visitors to Malaysia must be in possession of a valid passport with a minimum validity of six (6) months beyond the period of stay. IPC also helps with immigration clearance in emergency cases More info on immigration and visa.

Hospital Admissions and Discharges

Assist with hospital admissions and discharges, including bill estimation, deposit arrangement, bill payment, insurance claim and medical report.

VISITING MALAYSIA

When visiting Malaysia, it is important to be sure to follow all of the legal guidelines as laid out by both countries and security systems. If you are planning a trip to Malaysia anytime soon, be sure to follow the guidelines below.

Visa and Immigration Assistance

Traveling to Malaysia will require you bring along the appropriate legal documents to prove your identity and that you are able to travel as a legal citizen of your country. The following documents are required to board a plane to Malaysia:

 

Your passport. Your name on your visa and travel documents must match the name on your passport. Minors under the age of 15 can be listed on the accompanying adult’s passport. Minors may also be required to show a birth certificate, so it is best to take it along. A visa is required, depending on the country of your origin.

Flights

When flying to Malaysia from anywhere, there are a number of airports and cities you choose to land. Our international airport received numerous airlines that landing at KLIA 1 and KLIA 2.

Hotels

Many hotels are available in and around IJN hospital as we are at the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city centre. Finding accommodation around IJN is easy, with more than ten hotels, ranging from budget accommodations to five-star hotels to serviced apartments, within 10-minute drive from the hospital.

Traveling from Airport to IJN

There are many options to travel from the airport. Firstly, we have two International airports, KLIA (all international airlines land here) and KLIA 2 (AirAsia and other low cost carriers land here). These are the options to choose from:
